Adhyayan School is the first design thinking focused school in Nepal. Adhyayan follows the curriculum from the Nepal Government however; we have also incorporated the concept of design thinking in our school curriculum. It is a design methodology that is useful in tackling complex problems and empowers the students to explore the attitudes, values, and habits of mind that will allow them to make complex choices in their learning and in preparation for life.
At Adhyayan the concept of innovation is considered the pinnacle ingredient for students to foster creativity and tackle real life problems. To fortify this notion, Adhyayan also offers opportunities to build confidence to handle ever-evolving technological tools. At Adhyayan, we believe in making education fun by using technology in our day to day learning activities.
We believe that creative confidence comes from repeated practice using a child centered creative process to solve problem scenarios called design challenges. After using the process on these challenges, our students will have another tool, the design thinking process, to apply towards solving real life problems. By means of encouraging the young minds through design thinking, we aim to refine the student’s skills which allow them to understand and act on rapid changes prevailing in our environment and behavior.
